As blood is a scarce resource, clinician should weigh the risks of transfusion against risks of not transfusing .Data on the use of blood products are limited, studies have revealed high proportion of inappropriate use of blood transfusion often in both developed and developing countries [6,7].Data also included age, gender and diagnoses of transfusion recipients.
Necessary data were collected from blood bank registers.Blood transfusion; Blood components; PRBC; FFP; Platelets Blood is a specialized bodily fluid that supplies essential substances and nutrients and removes metabolic waste products from the cells. The cellular components include red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.
